Breadth, Integration, Capstone (B.I.C.)

Masters of Public Health (M.P.H.) and Masters of Health Services Administration (M.H.S.A.) must complete coursework related to each discipline in public health to fulfill the Breadth, Integration, and Capstone requirements.

Updated June 2008: The Environmental Health Sciences, Health Behavior and Health Education and Health Management and Policy departments have suggested three courses each that will fulfill the BIC requirement. The Biostatistics and Epidemiology departments provide two courses to choose from. The primary course listed in each department is the course that will give the best and broad overview in the area of study. The two secondary courses will also fulfill the BIC but may have limited availability. If you have any additional questions regarding the BIC curriculum, please see the Student Administrative Coordinator in your department.
